TALENTED youngsters aged 12-17 are being invited to audition for a role in this year’s pantomime, Cinderella, at Salisbury Playhouse.

The theatre is looking for two teams of six performers to form the young company, who will play an important part in the magical production.

Open auditions are being held at Salisbury Playhouse on Saturday, July 18 where hopefuls will be asked to sing, dance and act.

Rehearsals for Cinderella’s young company are due to start on Tuesday, November 10. Each team will perform 27 shows between Wednesday, December 2, 2015 and Saturday, January 9, 2016.

Being in the pantomime is a big commitment and will require some time off school or college for daytime performances during the school term. However it is also great fun and a chance to gain performing arts experience alongside professional actors. Last year’s pantomime Mother Goose was enjoyed by more than 21,000 people and attracted glowing reviews.

Anyone aged 12-17 who wants to audition for Cinderella must complete an application form and return it to Salisbury Playhouse with a recent photograph by Saturday, July 11.

Auditions will be held throughout the day on Saturday, July 18. For an application form and audition information, more details about being part of the Cinderella young company and the rehearsal and performance schedule go to the Work With Us section of www.salisburyplayhouse.com
