Review: Dilton Players: Aladdin.
Dilton has talent in abundance as witnessed in the local pantomime last week.
Another great script from Merrylyn Richardson was magnificently interpreted by the cast under the capable direction of Nigel Paine.
Packed houses commented on the professionalism of all concerned and the magnificent, colourful costumes and scenery.
They enjoyed the humour and a varied programme within the pantomime.
The dancing and singing was to a high standard with Princess Jasmine’s singing surely hinting at a bright future.
Widow Twankey was a hoot, Abanazar a most convincing baddie and Aladdin a delight.
The MasterChef scene caused much hilarity and the appearance of the two genies never failed to startle.
Such a pantomime is, of course, a great team effort including the magnificent live musical trio, lighting and sound experts and the oft unsung backstage crew.
Donations to interval refreshments raised more than £200 for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal.
