Wootton Bassett School’s vibrant production of Grease fuels nostalgia for the ‘Fifties with an excellent set that depicts the original school – built in that era and now replaced by housing.

It stars as Rydell High School, USA, where new girl Sandra Dumbrowski (Shannon Saunders) is unexpectedly reunited with Danny Zuko (Dominic Baker) with whom she enjoyed summer romance at the beach.

There are splendid sequences with The Pink Ladies, fellow students who urge Sandy to live more adventurously, An enthusiastic, able cast, chorus, dancers, excellent 7 piece band – and Danny’s car - combine effectively to ensure a feel-good, fun filled evening with some stunning individual performances.

The show, which ends tonight, Thursday 11th), is directed by Ciara Noone, with musical director Sue McMullin.
