A SWINDON-based theatre company is searching for actresses to be part of its latest production.
Whole Hog Productions is staging an adaptation of Jayne Eyre, which will be part of the Manx Amateur Drama Federation Festival of Full Length Plays held on the Isle of Man and staged in a grand Victorian theatre.
They need two actresses, aged 18 to 30, to play multiple roles. The stage version is fast, theatrical and calls on a lot of physicality from the performers, as well as quick changes of character.
Those intending to audition must be free every Wednesday and Friday evening for rehearsals, beginning on February 15. The company travels out to the Isle of Man on April 6.
They perform Jayne Eyre on April 9, before returning on April 11.
The cost of travel and accommodation is met by the Isle of Man Arts Council which gives each visiting company a grant. Therefore, only spending money for food and entertainment is needed.
Auditions will be held on February 10 at New College at 7pm. It will involve reading from sections of the script, so no prepared speeches are required.
Actresses wanting to audition should contact matthew.clift@newcollege.ac.uk or kluckyduck91@hotmail.co.uk or alternatively telephone 07737 660938 or 07976913780.
