MURDER on the Nile, the classic ‘whodunnit’ with it all, drama, romance, tragedy and comedy, was put across brilliantly by the Agatha Christie Theatre Company, their eighth production directed by Joe Harmston.
It kept me on the edge of my seat, eager to work out what was going on.
The first act conveyed a real sense of danger through both plot and music, with the coming murder looming over the audience.
Susie Amy, who played Kay Mostyn ‘the richest girl in England’, oozed glamour as she really got into the role, and Kate O’Mara’s performance of Miss ffoliot-ffoulkes added a light touch to the otherwise dark play.
Costume designer Brigid Guy deserves high recognition, with every costume adding depth to its character, with glamorous dresses and well tailored suits.
The evening was a great one, a perfect cast and fantastically put together performance of a show that keeps you guessing.
