A FAIRYTALE of Middle Eastern adventure will come magically to life when the Tiverton Players stage a pantomime production of Sinbad this week.
The amateur group will tell the classic story of the heroic sailor’s quest for a magical chalice, at the Gorse Hill Community Centre, in Chapel Street, from tonight until Saturday.
The show will feature 12 members of the Tiverton Players, who have been rehearsing since September, with dancers from Tanwood School of Dance and Performing Arts.
Jessica Knotts, 19, is playing Sinbad, with Ruby Bees, 15, as the princess.
Debbie Knotts, organiser of the Tiverton Players, said: “There’s going to be a lot of family entertainment for children and obviously we’ve got a baddie to boo at and we’ve got some ‘behind yous’ and we’ve got a beautiful princess. So it’s all magical.”
It is curtain up at 7.30pm nightly and a matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm. Tickets are £5 for adults, £4 for concessions, and £15 for a family from 01793 640271 or on the door.
