"My name is Jack Newman and I have been a Police Officer since 2004. Between 2004 - 2010 I worked emergency response Policing in Swindon. I have been involved in several high-profile cases and have investigated murders and serious assaults and all in-between. I have worked and continue to work as a specially trained Public Order Officer, Specialist Search Officer and Non-Violent Protest removal Officer. I have worked all over the country in these auxiliary roles. During the summer of 2010 I transferred to Neighbourhood Policing - North Sector. I felt that I had got all that I could from emergency response Policing and wanted to target my efforts into reducing crime in a specific area and focus my attention on dealing with local issues that I could see through from start to finish. I have always been very realistic in what is achievable with Policing and the available Police resources so I feel I can use my knowledge and experience to target issues I know can be resolved and that is what I intend to do along side my Community Support Officer colleagues."
