Description: Kingsdown School became a Technology College in September 2003 and was re-designated with this achievement in 2007 enabling learning to move forward using 21st century technologies. It is a single site mixed comprehensive school for students between 11 and 16 years of age. There are over 1260 students in the school.

Facilities: Learning Resource Centre (LRC) The LRC houses several thousand fiction and non-fiction books and is used for reading lessons, Breakfast Club and after school Learning Cafe and as a drop in resource for students wishing toresearch a topic. An online booking tool allows students and staff to check resource availability and reserve books in the future. Science 9 laboratories, 3 preparation rooms and fully resourced computer suite. Design and Technology 9 technology rooms including resistant materials workshops, graphics, product design, engineering, CAD/CAM, textiles and food technology. Music 2 music classrooms, including 1 bespoke, state of the art music technology room and 4 practice rooms. ASD Kingsdown has a purpose built Autistic Spectrum Disorder centre supporting 15 students with ASD. ICT / Business Studies 9 ICT Suites (over 500 computers throughout the school) Drama classrooms 1 studio and main hall with stage PE 2 gyms, extensive playing fields, 3 tennis courts and a basketball court. The Main Hall is used for trampolining, badminton and dance.
