Teenager admits sex assault
A teenager has been remanded in custody after admitting raping and sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
Jonathan Coombes committed both offences against the child between New Year's Day and Friday January 11 this year.
The 19-year-old now faces the prospect of a lengthy jail term when he is sentenced next month.
Coombes, of Honeysuckle Close, Haydon Wick, pleaded guilty to rape of a child under thirteen years old and sexual activity with a child.
Judge Douglas Field, sitting at Swindon crown court, adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report to be compiled by the probation service.
He remanded Coombes into custody until Thursday April 24 when he is due to face sentence.
