Police issue appeal for missing teen
POLICE believe a missing teenager, who was last seen 60 miles away a week ago, could be in Swindon.
Samantha Baker, 16, was last seen on a shopping trip in Herefordshire at 7pm on Thursday March 20, but has not returned to her Bromyard home.
Police from a number of forces across the country are looking for Samantha, who has links to Gloucester, Telford and Coventry as well as the Swindon area.
A spokesman for West Mercia Constabulary said: "Although Samantha has been missing for some days and not made contact with her home, she has been in touch with some of her friends.
"We are urging Samantha to make contact with the police to let us know she is safe and well.
"Equally, we would like to speak to anyone who sees or has heard from Samantha so that we can try to locate her as quickly as possible to ensure her welfare." Samantha is described as white, of slim build and with dark brown shoulder-length hair. She is around 5ft 7ins tall.
When last seen she was wearing light blue jeans, black boots and a black Yankees hooded top.
Anyone with information about Samantha's whereabouts is asked to contact Leominster Police Station on 08457 444888.
