Further to previous article about the fire, how quick everyone is to jump to conclusions - what he did in setting fire to the house was of course wrong as was him assaulting his wife, however, it seems that most people have only one side of the story and there are usually two sides. I don't agree with what he has done that we definitely know of i.e. starting the fire, that was stupid and dangerous, but don't judge everyone on "hearsay", there are usually two sides!!

Yes well said Disgusted. There but for the grace of God go I and all that. Could be anyone one of us. The human mind can only take so much, some are stronger than others. Hope both people recover very quickly.

I am so pleased that people have picked up on the fact that the poor man had reached his breaking point and now hopefully he will recover with the right help as will the lady involved, stress/depression takes so much out of so many people quite often with awful consequences, I really hope that t cooke never has to deal with problems either for himself or someone dear to him, if he does, I hope people around him are more sympathetic than he was.
