BREAKING NEWS: Adams wins in Leszno

LEIGH Adams put his world title bid firmly back on course with victory in the European Grand Prix in Poland tonight.

The Robins skipper - way off the pace in the opening round in Slovenia two weeks ago - clinched victory at Leszno, his home Polish League track, in front of a crowd of more than 20,000.

The Australian star blasted clear in the final to finish in front of two former world champions, the USA's Greg Hancock and 2007 winner Nicki Pedersen of Denmark, with home rider Jaroslaw Hampel in fourth.

The 20 meeting points moved Adams to fourth overall in the standings.

Leight Adams at his best, he will be world champion this year, as he is the only rider capable of beating Niki Pedersen.
Rosco even managed to get his face on the telly twice.
