Wiltshire crash to defeat
DORSET chased down a victory target of 350 to condemn Wiltshire to another Minor Counties championship defeat at Corsham yesterday.
In a high-scoring game, Dorset came out on top by three wickets after slumping to 166 for four at one stage.
A fifth wicket partnership of 146 between Park and Hicks put Dorset back on course before their eighth wicket pair saw them home in the 81st over.
On Sunday Wiltshire, who won the toss and elected to bat, had made 333 for eight in 90 overs in their first innings, with opener Damien Shirazi making 107 and vice-captain James Hibberd 82.
Dorset were restricted to 271 all out in their first innings, with Rob Travers (three for 45) taking the bowling honours for Wiltshire.
Wiltshire's second innings closed on 287 all out, with Somerset all-rounder Wes Durston top scoring with 120 and Shirazi completing a fine match with 60.
