Tickets on sale for charity auction at Trowbridge Fire Station

Tickets are on sale for a charity auction at Trowbridge Fire Station as part of a series of fundraisers to mark its 50th anniversary.
The proceeds of the auction, on Saturday November 10, will be split between the Fire Fighters Charity and five local good causes: Dorothy House Hospice, Hope Nature Centre, Stepping Stones pre-school, SWIFT Medics and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
The auction at the Hilperton Road station starts at 7pm and includes a meal and live music, with a professional auctioneer taking the gavel for the sale. Amongst the items up for grabs are a commissioned painting, event photography, website design, a will, several days out and special treats, and even a bespoke hat.
Station manager Kathy Collis, who is organising the evening, said: “We’ve had a brilliant year so far for our charities but we want to end the year with a bang.
"We’re therefore really hoping that the auction is a great success - local businesses have been incredibly generous in giving us items to sell, and we have some truly unique lots for people to bid on. We do have to limit admission to ticket holders – we have limited space at the fire station, so we can only sell tickets in advance.”
Tickets are £15 each, to include a meal, available from the fire station during office hours. Call 01225 756530 or 07841 951111 for more information.
