Melksham man Richard Elmes was today sentenced to five years in jail for the manslaughter of Trowbridge builder Adrian Cooksey in March 2009.
Elmes, 51, of Semington Road, received 42 months at Bristol Crown Court for the manslaughter of his friend and 20 months for perjury on the first day of the trial earlier this year.
