THREE community projects were awarded grants by Trowbridge Area Board during a meeting held at the Civic Centre.
Board members awarded £5,000 to Trowbridge Rugby Club which is moving from its grounds in Green Lane to a new home at Paxcroft Farm, Hilperton.
The move is expected to be completed by March next year and will bring the club improved facilities, including two new rugby pitches.
The area board’s funds – awarded on Thursday evening last week – will go towards two additional community pitches at the ground, which will be used for a variety of sports.
The board also awarded £800 to the Gloucester Road Allotment Association for drainage improvements.
Another £350 will be given to Hilperton School and Community Recorder Consort, to help develop a recorder music library.
