Carol singing by the Con Brio Choir raised more than £80 in the Shambles at Bradford's Christmas lights switch-on.
It sang on behalf of the charity Children by Choice, which provides free birth control for mothers in Kenya.
An open evening was also held, with carols. Donations were invited for Stelpe School in Latvia, which the choir visited.
The new term starts on January 8.
Musical Director Lisa Clarke plans to introduce a new repertoire of three-part singing as opposed to four-part to consolidate the male voices.
Rehearsals are at the United Church Hall on Tuesday evening. It is not necessary to read music. For more information, visit the choir’s website at www.conbriovoices.org
