Police are appealing for information about an incident in the Devizes branch of Sainsbury’s on Christmas Eve when a member of staff was hit by a flying bottle.
A man and woman entered the store and tried to buy alcohol. The man was challenged to provide identification because he appeared to be under 25. He became angry and threw the bottles he was carrying, one of which hit a woman member of staff and then smashed on the floor.
The man is described as white, in his 20s, wearing a black hat, light-coloured combat trousers and a baggy fleece with two lines across it.
Witnesses are asked to contact Devizes police through the 101 non-emergency number.
