A man who lives above an Indian takeaway has appeared before a judge accused of being involved in the trade in hard drugs.
Ajmol Ali is accused of possessing heroin and ecstasy with intent to supply and also having crack cocaine.
The 36-year-old is said to have had the heroin and ecstasy with intent to supply on Wednesday October 26, 2011.
He is also accused of possession of heroin with intent to supply and simple possession of crack cocaine on Wednesday January 26 last year.
Co-defendant Steven Hollands, 31, is charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin between October 1, 2011 and January 27 last year.
No charges were formally put to the pair and they did not indicate any pleas during the brief hearings at Swindon crown court.
The cases against Ali, of William Street, Calne, and Hollands, of Cornflower Close, Calne, were adjourned to Friday March 15.
Hollands was released on unconditional bail and Ali, who appeared later after his lift to court let him down, was also granted bail.
