THE Rev Nick Brown is looking forward to starting his new role in Lincolnshire this weekend, after saying his farewells to the people of Warminster in a service on December 29.
Rev Brown was assistant priest at the Minster Church for three-and-a-half years, working as part of a team of six ordained ministers and 11 lay pastoral assistants.
The 36-year-old, who was ordained in Salisbury Cathedral in 2009, has now moved with his wife Lucy and children, two-year-old Ben and four-month-old Ollie, to take up the post of priest-in-charge of the Team Parish of Louth.
He said: “I have really enjoyed my time in Warminster, I have met many wonderful people in the town and its surrounding villages and I was also part of the 3 Yorks remembrance services, which were very important events during my time at the Minster.”
Rector of the Minster the Rev Harvey Gibbons said: “Nick will be missed by his fellow colleagues and everyone in Warminster. We will miss his efficiency and sense of humour.”
