A shop in Bradford on Avon is expanding due to outgrowing its space, only eight months after first opening.

Made in Bradford was launched in May 2012 and is run by local artists and volunteers wanting to showcase and sell their work.

Owner Wellie O’Driscoll said: “The shop is now a small representation of what is available. We would like to display everything in one space, so we are looking to expand into the immediate area. This will allow us to set up workshops, which are in huge demand.

“Local people want to support a local business. We knew it was going to attract a lot of members, but not this far reaching.”

Made in Bradford will be showcasing its products at this weekend’s Bradford Roots Festival and its owner is hoping to attract performers’ attentions.

She said: “We want to continue the local theme by selling local music. It is unique and will bring the community together. Everyone can support each other.”
