DETECTIVES fear there may be more victims of a teenage boy suspected of sexually assaulting women on a bus.
Wiltshire Police are appealing for information following two sexual assaults on the Number 14 Thamesdown Transport bus, which runs between Haydon Wick and Eldene, between 8am and 8.25am on Tuesday, January 8.
The 16-year-old boarded the bus at the Churchward Avenue South at about 8am and sat next to the first victim, a 17-year-old girl, who he touched on her inside thigh.
The suspect is then thought to have got off the bus at Fleming Way at 8.25am.
Police say there is already a second victim, thought to be in her early 20s, known to officers and potentially third woman who they have yet to identify.
Det Sgt Tom Ellerby said: “We are investigating the possiblity of further vicitms and we have spoken to two so far, while a third is yet to be identified.
“With this pattern of behaviour we believe there is likely to be more, and his victims so far appear to have been teenage or young adult women.
“I would urge anyone with any information to contact Swindon CID immediately.”
A spokesman for Thamesdown Transport said: “We are co-operating with the police investigation and have provided them with CCTV pictures.”
The teen is described as 16 years old, about 5ft 5in, with a very pale and freckly square face. He has brown hair, short, wavy hair.
A boy was arrested on Friday on suspicion of sexual assault by touching and was released on bail pending further inquiries.
Anyone with information should contact Det Con Emma Kinderman at Swindon CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
