Maintenance staff at Castle Combe Circuit have been given the chilly task of clearing the 1.85 mile international race circuit of snow.
Around 4 to 5 inches of snow have fallen at the Circuit over the last few days and, with some events still scheduled to hopefully run this weekend, staff have been working against the clock trying to clear the track.

Just had a call from a resident in Oxford Road to say there is a good Samaritan out with his shovel clearing the pathways. He's gone down one side and has had lots of pats of the back.

Stagecoach are suspending the No7 service from South Marston Business Park due to weather problems in Highworth.

We've had reports the there has been around 2ins of snow in Highworth in the last hour. A bus is stuck on Grove Hill.

Swindon College has tweeted to say it is open today but if any student feel their journey in would be unsafe they should call the college and let them know.

Statement from Paul Jenkins, MD of Thamesdown Transport:
Our school contract routes are running normally today, except for R26 which is unable to serve Chiseldon Camp due to the road conditions.
Our rural Services 46/46A, 47, 48/48A and 61 are running normally.
Our Swindon town services are running normally except for the following areas which cannot be served due to the road conditions:
Service 12 - Salzgitter Drive at St Andrews Ridge; buses will run direct between Blunsdon and Abbey Meads until further notice.
Service 15A - Millgrove Street at Redhouse; buses will run via Redhouse Way and Eastbury Way until further notice.

Schools latest:
- Eastrop Primary school - open from 10am

Thamesdown Transport update - services 13 and 14 are back running as normal. No other problems currently being reported.

Here is the current list of schools affected:
- Churchfields Academy - open from 10.30am onwards to ALL staff and students
- Dorcan Academy - open from 10.30am but exams running as normal
- Isambard community school - open from 9.30am
- Liden pre-school and Liden Primary School - open at 10am to allow safe travel
- Westrop Primary School - Closed
All other schools are currently reported as being open as of 8.15. Keep checking the website for updates.
