Commanding Officer of the 3 Yorks, Lieutenant Colonel Zac Stenning, will give a talk on Friday at 7.30pm at Warminster Civic Centre on Our Afghanistan Tour 2012.
The 3rd Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment were deployed in Afghanistan for nine months, where they were fully engaged in operations in Helmand.
During the deployment, as part of the 12th Mechanized Brigade on Operation Herrick 16, the battalion lost nine soldiers.
The Warminster-based battalion took part in a post-deployment parade in November, before being awarded the freedom of the town in a ceremony at the Minster Church of St Denys.
Tickets for the talk cost £10 and are available from the Information Centre, Civic Centre, Cordens or Travel Angels, with all profits going to the Regimental Charity.
