Power to homes and businesses in Devizes was restored this morning.
The problem, which caused by an underground cable fault, began at around 8.15am, and affected about 900 residents and many businesses in central Devizes.
Power was fully restored after 10am.
A spokesperson for Southern Electric said: “All connections have now been restored.
“The problem was caused by an underground fault and power supplies are being rerouted to minimise disruption for our customers.
“The fault will be repaired by engineers in the next few days.
“We apologise for any inconvenience and thank our customers for their patience while we fixed this problem.”

It took me over 4 months to get my compensation and this was after several phone calls , letters and e mails. The customer service I had from SSE was appalling and easily the worst I have had from any company.
