Young people will be able to swim for free again this half-term as Wiltshire Council's pledge to fund free swimming during school holidays continues.
Children aged under 16 can enjoy free swimming during all public swimming sessions at their local Wiltshire Council and DC Leisure managed leisure centres in Wiltshire throughout the school holidays. This term swimming will be free from Monday to Friday next week.
The free sessions have proved popular with more than 100,000 taken since it started. It is one of a number of initiatives the council is providing, in partnership with Wiltshire NHS, to help support families and children to adopt healthier habits, and improve their health and wellbeing.
Those under 16 will be able to gain free access to all public swimming sessions during the Wiltshire Council recognised school holidays, however each leisure centre will retain the right to request proof of age before granting entry. Contact your local pool for further details relating to this offer.
