Wiltshire and Swindon Police and Crime Commissioner Angus Macpherson was in Trowbridge on Monday to consult with community groups ahead of his forthcoming police and crime plan.
Mr Macpherson spoke with councillors and residents at St John’s Parish Centre, Trowbridge, where he set out his priorities for tackling crime in the region.
The Police and Crime Plan will set the strategic direction of policing for the next five years. As well as working with the police, it will include working with partners such as local authorities and voluntary community sector organisations.
He said: “We’ve decided to host another consultation workshop in Trowbridge as we’ve had a lot of interest and positive feedback from those who attended similar sessions in Salisbury and Swindon.
“The workshops so far have been really useful to get feedback from representatives of the voluntary and community sector in Wiltshire and Swindon.”
