A TROWBRIDGE teenager was trapped under his car for almost two hours in the early hours this morning after he crashed near Rode.
The male driver left the road on the A361 and overturned his blue Vauxhall Corsa in a nearby field, leaving his arm trapped under the car.
A fire appliance from Trowbridge assisted the five from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service at the scene, who used specialist hydraulic lifting equipment to free him. They attended the scene at 11.39pm, and finally left 1.24am, once he had been taken to hospital by air ambulance.
The road remained closed for several hours as the wreckage of the crash was removed.
