A team of footballers from around Corsham overcame the Swindon Town Youth Team 2-1, in a charity match at Corsham Town FC.
Their efforts helped to raise £3,683 for the North Wiltshire branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The match had been organised by James Whitehead, 30, after one of his former teammates, Martin O’Shea, was diagnosed with the debilitating, muscle-wasting condition. The MNDA Select side won with goals from Ben Thompson and Alan Griffin.
An auction held later helped to boost the total.
