Science takes centre stage in Bradford on Avon

THE second annual Science Fair will take place at the Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford on Avon on Saturday.

Mysciencefair is a not-for-profit project which aims to get the school students of the Bradford on Avon area doing more science.

Parent Anastasia Thomas leads a small group of local volunteers to stage the event.

The organisers say it will be powered by the imagination and enthusiasm of local children and their parents, who are passionate about science and engineering.

The event will have food, demonstrations, interactive games, a video display, a fun raffle, and projects by primary school youngsters will all be on display.

The winners of “cool” prizes – last year they included family tickets to @Bristol, science kits and tickets to Bowood – will also be announced.

The event is on 11am to 2pm, on the Saturday, and not Sunday, as it will appear incorrectly in this week's Wiltshire Times
