Oval Peugeot will be sponsoring Trowbridge Carnival this year as organisers continue with plans for 2013’s event.

Staff from the car dealership, based at the West Wilts Trading Estate in Westbury, met with members of the carnival’s committee on Monday to celeb- rate the new partnership.

Maryrose Mantle, chairman of the carnival committee, said: “We’re really grateful to Oval Peugeot – their support will now allow us to focus on planning this year’s event.”

Trowbridge Carnival takes place through the town on October 19, with a number of events planned throughout the year.

On May 11, the committee will hold a search at Walwayne Court Primary School, in Brook Road, to find this year’s carnival royalty. Boys and girls between seven and 11, who live in the BA14 postcode, are welcome to apply, with the winner getting a contribution towards their regal outfit for the night of the carnival.
