The family of ten-year-old ski crash victim Jemima Prees have set up a fund in her name.
Her parents Tim and Karen, of Colerne, set up Jemima’s Gift, which is intended to help children make the most of opportunities in the arts, sport and education.
Mrs Prees said: “Jemima had a gift for life, for making the most out of every day. And we’d like to be able to honour her gift by gifting other children and allowing them to experience some of the activities and the best things in life like she did.”
On Friday mourners gathered for a funeral service for the youngster. It was led by her godfather, the Rev Jonathan Sell, minister at Colerne Evangelical Church.
Mr Prees, who is a partner at Wansboroughs in Devizes, and brother Barnaby, who had fought to save her after the accident, were among those carrying her wicker coffin, decorated with white roses. Mrs Prees and Jemima’s two elder sisters Annabel and Olivia, followed behind.
