12-year-old arrested over shed thefts
A 12-YEAR-OLD boy has been questioned by police over a spate of shed break ins at an allotment in the town.
Wiltshire Police are appealing for information following the eight shed burglaries which took place shortly before 5pm on Friday, March 1 at the allotments off Wheeler Avenue, Upper Stratton, Swindon.
The sheds were broken into and a number of hand tools were stolen.
As a result of police enquiries, a 12-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of theft and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
But now officers are keen to speak to two other youths seen in the area at the same time.
Both are described as being white boys, of slim build and between the ages of 14 and 17. One was described as wearing a grey anorak and the other as wearing a blue anorak.
The teens jumped over a fence of a garden in Wheeler Avenue and made off in the direction of Cricklade Road.
It is believed that the males made off in two push bikes – one which had a trailer.
