A TROWBRIDGE man is holding a charity wrestling event in memory of his mother at the Civic Centre on Saturday night at 7pm.

Gareth Humphreys’ fund-raiser is in aid of the Dorothy House hospice, which cared for Susan Humphreys up until her death last October.

The event will have about 30 wrestlers, taking part in a range of bouts.

Mr Humphreys said: “Dorothy House worked very hard in looking after my mum before she passed away and I really want to do something to say thank you.”

He will be among those in action, donning his black leotard to become his alter-ego, The Gangster.

Doors open at 7pm, with bouts beginning at 7.30pm. For tickets or details, see www.trowbridge.gov.uk or call 01225 765072.
