Suspicious dust discovery leads to road closure in Trowbridge
Fire crews from Trowbridge and Westbury are at White Horse Business Park in Trowbridge after builders working at a disused factory discovered a suspicious dust today.
The factory building, which previously belonged to DTR VMS Ltd, was attended by fire crews at 4.30pm after builders working on site became concerned after discovering a red dust while drilling, and a cordon has been placed around the area while investigations continue.
Two fire crews from Trowbridge and one from Westbury are now on site and an officer with specialist training in hazardous materials is also there as a precaution, in case the dust is found to be hazardous.
Police have also closed the A363 between the Kentucky Fried Chicken roundabout and the roundabout at North Bradley at 4.45pm due to the incident, with the road expected to be closed for at least two hours.

Is the 'Tesco' roundabout officially named at no cost to them?
