Families feasted on music, creative workshops and pizza during a diversity afternoon in Trowbridge.

The free event, organised by charity Equal Chances Better Lives (ECBL), let visitors try sporting activities, flag making and cooking pizzas in a wood-burning oven.

The crowd of about 110, at Bridge House on Saturday, was entertained by performances from the Rag and Bone Theatre Company, Urban Street Dance, Trowbridge Song Project and World Jungle Drumming.

Maria Van de Vorst, ECBL’s senior development officer, said: “I really think events like that should take place more often, as it was a great way for groups to come together and learn more about each other.”

Guests at the event included MP Andrew Murrison, Lord Lieut-enant Sarah Troughton and Trowbridge’s deputy mayor, Helen Osborn.
