Warminster School celebrated its best ever inspection reports after a recent inspection of both the senior and preparatory schools by the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
The report of the senior school found that academic achievement was supported by its teaching across all abilities, while the school’s pastoral care, the quality of the curriculum and the development of the pupils were all judged to be “excellent”.
This was also reinforced in the preparatory school, where the quality of academic achievement and pupils’ personal development was also found to be excellent.
In the report, which was carried out over four days, the inspectors commented: “The excellent and enthusiastic teaching made full use of the pupils’ enjoyment of learning”.
Headteacher of Warminster Senior School Martin Priestley said: “We believe that by any objective analysis, these are the best inspection reports ever received by either the Prep or Senior School.
“Measured across ten criteria, the senior school scored eight gradings of “Excellent” and two of “Good”, while the prep school scored nine gradings of “Excellent” and one of “Good”.
“There will be no resting on laurels in either the prep or senior schools. Plans for further development and improvement in response to the findings of the Inspection teams have already been discussed at Governors’ meetings and at various other levels throughout the school, including at Leadership Team level.”
