Music from Harry Potter will fill the corridors of GWH this weekend
MUSIC from Harry Potter and the Teddy Bears Picnic will be filling the corridors of Great Western Hospital on Saturday afternoon as a special concert takes place for the Children’s Unit.
Swindon Concert Band has organised a concert for the children and their parents and siblings, as well as ward staff, at the Academy on the Lower Ground Floor at 2pm.
Alan MacRae, Conductor for the band said: “Swindon Concert Band is a friendly community based band.
“An idea to provide some entertainment for those children and young people who are receiving treatment at the Great Western Hospital has been made possible, thanks to the staff of GWH.
“This short concert will include film music, such as Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean and we mustn't forget the Teddy Bears’ Picnic, so if you're coming, please bring along your Teddies.
“We hope to repeat this concert later in April for other children and their families.”
