Members of the Trowbridge and District Amateur Radio Club have won this year’s Radio Society of Great Britain’s Region 10 Club of the Year competition.
In the process, the club beat four other clubs from the Region 10 Districts of Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, East and West Sussex and Wiltshire.
The competition entry comprised a 1,000-word submission, which highlighted the club’s activities and achievement during 2012.
The entry was prepared jointly by the club’s committee members. The nation’s 13 regional winners are now awaiting the National Results, in which an overall winner will be announced.
The club was presented with the Region 10 Shield by Mick Senior, the Radio Society of Great Britain region manager, on April 3.
