Cat captures koi carp – again

FISHING cat Isis has developed a taste for koi carp and caught his second takeaway in a week.

On Sunday evening Isis returned to his Old Town home with his fresh catch between his teeth.

His owner Louise Willoughby, of Bath Road, has taken the golden coloured fish, worth about £25, to Eastcott Vets, in Bath Road.

Less than a week earlier, naughty Isis caught another carp.

The vets are desperate to trace the owner of the fishpond before Isis gets hungry again.

Practice manager Jan Sanger said: "The fish are both in good condition despite their ordeals.

"But Isis has obviously developed a bit of a taste for carp, so we are hoping to warn the owner of the pond, before he goes out for his dinner again.

"Most cats are good at fishing, but these are big fish, measuring around 6ins long."

Anyone who thinks the fish could be theirs can call the vets on on 01793 528341.
