A car fire on Lower Westbury Road in Bratton spread to two terraced properties on Saturday, causing external damage to both houses.
A Volvo parked outside one of the houses caught fire around 6.10pm, with two fire crews from Trowbridge and one from Bradford on Avon called to extinguish it.
Two breathing apparatus and two water jets were used to put out the flames, which caused singeing to the house windows.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious, and is believed to have been caused by an engine fault in the car.
