Pictured here is Elisha-Kate Wilson, a pupil at Bowerhill School, Melksham, proudly presenting £28 to Yvonne Brunton, Community Fundraiser at Dorothy House Hospice.
Elisha-Kate decided to raise money during the summer holidays for the hospice and came up with the idea of making and selling bookmarks using all her arts and crafts materials. She asked for a donation of 25p for each one and people were very generous. One bookmark even sold for £10!
Elisha-Kate has been part of the fundraising group, Dotty Pink Productions, which has raised over £13,000 for the hospice and £5,000 for Help for Heroes over the last four years but this was her first solo effort, and she is now thinking of a fundraising project for next summer.
