THE charity Christmas Care celebrates its 25th anniversary this year - and they are gearing up ready to welcome guests over the festive period.
This year, the shelter will run from 11am on Christmas Eve until 11am on December 28 at Queens Drive Methodist Church, in Park South.
Volunteers are needed to help run the shelter and they will be asked to work in four hour shifts: 7am - 11am, 11am - 3pm, 3pm - 7pm and 7pm until 11pm. The longest shift will be from 11pm until 7am.
Each shift requires six volunteers plus a shift leader, who will take charge and delegate out the tasks for the day. Volunteer meetings will take place at the church hall on November 6 and 14 at 8pm.

- warm clothing
- blocks of cheese
- bags of potatoes
- bags of carrots
