Corsham residents have a rare opportunity to see behind the scenes at the town’s largest new development, as the Community Campus opens its doors.
Work on the £10million project – which will include a new library, police station and community hall built alongside the existing Springfield Leisure Centre – began in April and is due to be completed by October next year.
In the meantime members of the public are invited on a tour of the two-storey site for an insight into the project and to learn more about the construction industry.
Midas Construction is the contractor behind the project, and is organising the two-day Open Doors weekend as part of a national scheme to showcase the British construction industry.
Alan Hope, chief executive of Midas, said: “We are delighted to take part in the Open Doors initiative and provide an opportunity for people from Corsham to see behind the scenes at a live project going on in their area.”
Spaces on the tour must be booked in advance, by visiting www.opendoorsweekend.co.uk They run from 9.30am to 4pm on Friday and Saturday, September 27 and 28.
