Colleagues at Awdry Bailey and Douglas (ABD) solicitors completed the Chippenham Half Marathon and raised money for the charity Alzheimer’s Support.
Six members of staff and one client ran the half marathon on September 15. Three of them, Sharon Hayward, support staff member in Devizes, Alistair Everett, senior partner in Devizes, and Catherine Cole, legal clerk in Devizes, all ran it in 2011 and this year they were joined by Lisa Sidwell, legal assistant in the Royal Wootton Bassett office, Eve Clarke, support staff member in the Devizes office, and partner Alexander David, who manages the Chippenham office.
Tim Watts, a client, who ran the event in 2011, also took part.
ABD was one of the main sponsors of the half marathon and the team of runners raised £1,500 which was presented to Alzheimer’s Support at their drop-in centre in Devizes.
Andrew Douglas, senior partner at ABD, said: “The team unanimously chose to run for Alzheimer’s Support because both ABD and Alzheimer’s Support do a lot of work both for and with older people.”
