THE much-anticipated Swindon Half Marathon will take place this weekend and is set to raise thousands for charity.
The event, now in its 10th year, is sponsored by the British Heart Foundation which has taken over from former organisers Swindon Council.
The half marathon takes place on Sunday, with the start of each of the races, including the 13.1-mile half marathon, the five-mile multi-terrain and 2km fun run, at Pipers Way, near Nationwide.
Runners in the main race will set off at 10.30am.
The British Heart Foundation is dedicated to research aimed at ending the suffering caused by heart disease.
