Westbury pupils score top sporting results

Bitham Brook Primary School in Westbury were recently invited to the Wiltshire and Swindon Sports Awards, hosted by Phil de Glanville, former England rugby captain, and with guest speaker Paralympic gold medallist Mark Colbourne MBE. The event rewarded sporting dedication, achievement and success across the county. Children from Bitham Brook were awarded the prize for achieving the greatest success across all primary school games in Wiltshire including being Wiltshire girls football and swimming champions, and West Wiltshire boys football and netball champions. Mike Slater, sports and PE subject leader, said: “I am very proud of all the hard work, determination and commitment by the children. Sporting success has gripped the whole school so that all the children want to achieve their very best.”
