EVERY pantomime needs a baddie to boo and the Wyvern Theatre has just found one for this year’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk starring Keith Chegwin.
Simon Wegrzyn will take on the villainous role of Fleshcreep and he is guaranteed to whip the crowd up into a frenzy when he takes to the stage as the Giant’s Henchman. This will be the first time Simon has played a villain in pantomime and the first time he has performed alongside Keith Chegwin.
Simon said: “He has treaded the boards of the West End, performed Shakespeare, presented on TV, and danced on ice… if my career turns out anything like his I'll be a very happy man. Cheggers, I salute you!”
Simon has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company, at the National Theatre and is the writer and creator of new TV show TeamXtreme.
Jack and the Beanstalk will run at the Wyvern Theatre from December 7 to January 5. Book on 01793 524 481.
