WILTSHIRE Police are appealing for witnesses after a handbag theft in Park South.
The incident took place at approximately 5.15pm yesterday in Whitbourne Avenue.
A woman was walking with her partner along Whitbourne Avenue away from Cavendish Square when two males on bicycles approached the female from behind and grabbed her handbag.
They then cycled off in the direction of Shaftesbury Avenue.
The first suspect is described as a white male, approximately 18/19-years-old, wearing a baseball cap and a hooded top with the hood up.
The second suspect is described as a white male, approximately 19/20-years-old, wearing a light coloured hooded top with the hood down. He had short blonde hair.
The handbag was a small red leather-style handbag with two handles and two clips on the front. It is designed to be carried rather than worn over the shoulder. The material on the handbag is worn and coming away from the lining.
The handbag contained a purse with bank cards inside, a black slide-up Samsung mobile phone, tobacco and a small bunch of keys.
No-one was injured during this incident.
