Neighbours in shock after man is found dead
A PENHILL street has been rocked after a man was found dead at his home this morning.
Police would not confirm the circumstances of the incident, which happened shortly after 8am, as an ambulance crew and several police cars attended an address in Redlynch Close.
The man, whose details have not been released, was found dead at the scene but officers said it was not being treated as suspicious.
Worried neighbours gathered outside during the commotion, with many unsure of what had happened.
A spokesman for South West Ambulance Service said: “At 8.11am we received a call from a home address to attend a medical problem. The person was neither conscious nor breathing.
“It was treated as a medical incident.”
A police spokesman said: “Wiltshire Police was called to an address in Penhill, Swindon, this morning to reports of a male being found deceased.
“This is being treated as a sudden death with no suspicious circumstances. A report will now be prepared for the HM Coroner for Swindon and Wiltshire.”
